Yeah sounds like the ol' sircam virus, I still get word documents and zip files from it, guess some people still havent learnt.
Also there was one instance where I got the sircam virus with just a .xls file, this was the first time I saw it so I tried to open it in Excel when the old "do you want to enable macros" message came up, obviously I said no, and there was nothing, so I figured it was a virus, now they all have .pif extention, so I guess there are 2 versions of the virus, prehaps that was a beta version that only worked with spreadsheets?
Oh and no it wasnt a .pif file because I downloaded it in Yam in WinUAE, and my PC isnt infected thank you very much :)
